Helping Artists Grow, The Alien Way

Alien Nation Station is all about good, clean, loud fun. Since its founding in May 2025, the local label has experienced significant growth in the Phoenix music scene by helping artists with content building, branding, and production, managing events, and holding one-on-one interviews with local artists trying to make it in the industry.

In the months since its founding, ANS has sponsored two major events and has added over 20 artists to their repertoire, the impressive and measurable growth of the company adding a sense of validity to founder and CEO Aaron Matsurra’s dream.

“I see the most improvement in the sheer numbers,” he says. “We're starting to get legit.”

The company’s growth has been a team effort and is due in part to the ambitious, talented staff that’ve been brought on board, including journalists and content creators. Operations Officer Soraya Movassaghi is a significant addition who has utilized her business background to help organize ANS ideas and plan for its future. Led by Matsuura and Movassaghi, the ANS team is a diverse mix of friendly, creative people who are excited to see the company succeed.

“I feel like I wake up every day and I live the dream,” Movassaghi says. “To be able to provide that for more people, it's enriching me as a person. It's different than anything else I've worked in. It proves that we have something to offer.”

As ANS continues to build its team, their main focus is helping artists achieve their dreams. Making a name for yourself in the entertainment industry requires an entirely new formula these days, and knowing the right people is no longer enough. According to Matsurra, all you need is one big win— ANS is here to make the path to your big win as good, clean, loud, and fun as possible, an approach that is experimental and personalized and has catapulted ANS to be a leading force in the Phoenix music community.

“We have so many more options because we have taken the time to solidify our foundation,” Movassaghi says. “We're at a point where the future is just so exciting.”

As ANS continues to grow, Matsuura and Movassaghi anticipate a whirlwind of excitement and activity, and predict that Phoenix music fans will want to witness it for themselves.

“I think people should be ready to celebrate,” Movassaghi says. “We're coming out of the gate very strong. People are gonna want to be there.”

The small yet mighty team looks forward to expanding their network and helping local artists without following any rule book, making sure to always keep it the Alien way.
